On Friday, I did some winter gardening at the Turners and spent the rest of the day working at Portland Audubon with Sarah.

It was nice to get out of the apartment and take in a nice view of Mount Saint Helens (in front) and Mount Rainier (in back) from Skyline Boulevard.

Though it is December, there is still some life in the garden

Raspberries continue ripening, though they do not taste the same as they did in the summer.

My little arugula patch is growing well in the mild weather.

Portland Audubon is located in Balch Creek Canyon, which gets about an hour of sunlight (if that) in the winter. It therefore feels like quitting time around 2 to 3 pm.

As usual, we found some good looking mushrooms along the trails.
Today is college football conference championship day, if Oklahoma wins, they go to the national championship. Go Sooners!
